
The Muslim Students Association at the University of Kentucky is part of the national organization MSA of the US and Canada, established in 1963. MSA works on college and university campuses throughout North America. MSA is Islamic in nature, non-profit and tax exempt in status, and its membership is open to Muslims.
The purpose of MSA of the University of Kentucky is to serve the best interest of Islam and Muslims at the University of Kentucky and the community in large. To achieve this the Muslim Students Association shall:
Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims
Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims;
Promote unity and joint action among the Muslims
Educate, mobilize, and coordinate students to struggle against injustice and oppression
Conduct social, cultural, religious, and other activities in the best traditions of Islam.
